Celestron NexStar 6SE Computerized Telescope
Celestron’s signature orange-tube telescope combines advanced features and excellent optics in one easy-to-use system. It’s the perfect choice for your first serious telescope, offering striking views at an economical price.
View the Universe’s Most Impressive Objects
The 6SE’s six-inch primary mirror packs enough light-gathering ability to observe the best that the solar system has to offer: Cassini’s Division in Saturn’s rings, the cloud bands on Jupiter, and geographic features on the surface of the Moon. Take it to a dark-sky site to see hundreds of pinpoint stars in the Hercules Globular Cluster or the spiral arms of the Whirlpool Galaxy.
Revolutionary Single Fork Arm Mount & SkyAlign
The patented single fork arm mount is perfectly portable and breaks down into lightweight, compact pieces. Aligning your telescope is simple thanks to SkyAlign: just center three bright objects in your eyepiece and press ALIGN. Use the included NexStar+ hand control to easily locate over 40,000 celestial objects.

FAQ & Troubleshooting
Q: Why doesn’t my red dot finderscope match the image on the box?
A: Celestron has updated the finderscope on some models. The main difference is the battery compartment location. If your finder has the battery on top, follow these steps to replace the CR-2032 battery:
- Use a Philips-head screwdriver to loosen the top screw.
- Lift the door to expose the CR-2032 battery and pry it out.
- Insert the new battery, positive (+) side up, under the copper clips.
- Press down to snap it into place, then secure the door with the screw.
